In Central Minnesota, the weekend after Labor Day is a big event. That’s because the Monson Lake Opry Barn hosts the annual Opry Festival just outside of Sunburg, MN. This annual country music celebration will take place on Friday, September 11 and Saturday, September 12, 2026.
You’ll have three options when you visit the Afton ticket website. You can buy a ticket for Friday, for Saturday or for both days together. If you want to get the most out of your night or your 2-day Festival tickets, we recommend the camping add-on.
We want everyone to be able to enjoy the Opry Festival, which is why we’ve made sure the event area is wheelchair-accessible.

The Opry Festival lineup
Breakfast buffet will be available on Saturday and Sunday morning. The Monson Lake Lutheran Church will also hold a church service on Sunday.

We ask that you refrain from bringing outside food and beverage to the Opry Festival. We’ll have a wide variety of food vendors available, so you’ll have plenty of tasty options. However, we do recommend you bring your own comfortable chairs.
